RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Nineteen more environmental organizations in Virginia will share an additional $300,000 in grants from the charitable arm of Dominion Resources, the parent company of Dominion Virginia Power, bringing the total funding this year to $575,000. The first wave of grants from the Dominion Foundation – $275,000 – was awarded in April to 17 organizations.

Recipients in the second wave include:
- Wildlife Center of Virginia in Waynesboro: $10,000 to produce "Critter Cam," a live web broadcast of animals in treatment at the center, and to create "Critter Cam Kits" for 400,000 students in 20 school districts around the state.
- The Elizabeth River Project in Portsmouth: $12,500 to support their "River Stars" program where Elizabeth River Project staff help local businesses make changes in their facilities and practices in order to conserve natural habitats and reduce pollution.
- Virginia Museum of Natural History in Martinsville: $20,000 to underwrite "Living on the Water," an aquatic conservation exhibit that will be on display at the museum and will travel to multiple locations throughout the Commonwealth.
